International - was formally started in July of 2001. Its strategies and goals closely mirror the established successes and significant market impact that the domestic operation has already achieved. The division serves the needs of international brokers and producers concerned with placing their clients' interests in the hands of highly secure and experienced markets.

The Hartford's newly established subsidiary company in the United Kingdom, Hartford Financial Products International Ltd., began underwriting operations on November 1, 2007.  It  is located in the Corn Exchange, 55 Mark Lane in the center of the London insurance market.  The subsidiary company has exercised passporting rights under the EU directives and is licensed in 27 countries.  It offers substantially the same products traditionally offered by HFP in the United States. 

The HFP International Division continues to offer admitted products in Canada through the New York office.  It also offers its products on a non-admitted/non-licensed basis in other countries where regulations permit. For a description of those countries, please feel free to contact us directly.
